Had an awesome birthday with wontoks and colleagues. Tenkyu tru olgeta for a wonderful "away from home" birthday celebration. And yes - I am really 23 years old. Just like it says on the cake - hahaha.

Just completed inspection and repairing six bridges in Western Province, PNG, in preparation for 146T loads. Bridges needed minor repairs. Also did structural load carrying asseswsment. All OK.     Visited some amazing places in Southern Highlands of PNG in November. Designing and providing water supply for seven different villages. Had a lot of great helpers.  Discussions with OilSearch about Designing and constructing water supply systems.
Out in Central Queensland - 90 minutes south west of Cloncurry working on a road reconstruction project. Great country. Found a very rare two headed camel.  I shared a booth with Glockemann Water Pumps at the annual PNG Mining Exhibition in Port Moresby in July. The exhibition was at the Sir John Guise stadium. A very nice facility. Met many exhibitors and PNG business people. Also met with and spoke to many students. I encourage you all to finish your studies and enjoy the opportunities that PNG has to offer.  What can I say .....  Some of the people attending the PNG Mining exhibition look at the Glockemann water pump Was very privileged to visit Pok Pok island and Arawa on Bougainville Island in July this year. |
